The morning sun filtered through the curtains, its warmth failing to dispel the nervous knot in my stomach. Today was the day—my convocation. It wasn’t the speech that made me anxious; I’d addressed countless audiences during my tenure as the female president of Hindu College, DU. No, it was the weight of the day itself. This was the last time I’d stand on that stage in this capacity, the last time I’d address my peers as their leader. And, of course, I wanted everything to go perfectly.
